2013年看了闇影獵人的電影，是圍繞擁有天使血統的闇影獵人與其它闇影世界(包括精靈、狼人、吸血殭屍)的故事，覺得不錯，所以便買了中文版小說來看。一直期待電影會續拍下去，但後來才知道改拍電視版本，並在2016年開播。
看過第一季數集，雖然自己比較喜歡電視版的某些選角，如Jace, Alec, Izzy及Maia，但電視版女主角有點不堪入目，跟電影版Lily相差很遠，而且眾人演技也挺爛，不過最大致命傷是故事改到不倫不類，重大情節竟然跟原著不同，所以看這劇時最好當是新故事看會比較好。
三季看畢，就算是當新故事看，也感覺一季不如一季，雖然飾Alec及Izzy的兩位越看越順眼，但談情多過打架，兩者欠缺平衡，尤其最後一季實在令人失望，感覺是草草完事，堆砌，Jace在第三季可以說是非常沒用，完全沒有原著的光彩，感覺劇中著墨Alec還較多，更像男主角。而且令人最不解的是，竟然說天使要懲罰Clary用了自創的如尼文，令到整劇的走向都失去意義。
由於看過原著，所以對此劇的評分會較高，如果減去這因素，大概只能給60分-消磨時間。
